A lot of these players came from disadvantaged backgrounds so they make sure to give back. Some give of their time, helping to mentor youth. Others make sure needy kids get the opportunity to play sports by raising money to purchase sporting equipment like basketballs, football helmets, soccer equipment and youth baseball bats. There are many ways to raise money, such as raffles, car donations, telethons etc. You never know where the next great athlete will come from."
